"Highly
recommended: Cromwell Manor Inn, a charming B&B in a historic country
home in nearby Cornwall, N.Y."....USA Today 8/19/02

"You
did a fantastic job! I've gotten nothing but rave reviews about the
Inn, the catered food, the amazing breakfast, the chocolate chip
cookies, and your excellent attention to detail and warm hospitality. I
can't tell you how much I appreciate all the effort you put into making
this retreat a success.".......Ida

"When
you're sitting on the back porch, watching the sun set and thinking how
there's nowhere else on earth you'd rather be, then you know you've
found the right place. Gorgeous home, beautiful grounds, and
fantastic hosts."....Neva Tabb, Clearwater Florida.
"As I
write this, my nose is three inches away from gorgeous-smelling lilies,
a scent I will carry home with me along with all the other memories had
here. As soon as you get here, walk to the furthest corner of the
property, sit on the bench (or lay in the grass) and watch the sun
set!"....Jessica Jennings, Somerville, Ma.
"My Fiance
and I are in the middle of
planning a wedding and both working
full time in the busy city of
Manhattan,
so needless to say we were in
desperate need of a weekend
get-away!
With a wedding and a honeymoon this
year we are both limited on vacation
so we were looking for a place that
we could drive a short distance to,
that would get us out of the city
and would give us the relaxation we
so needed.
Neither of us had ever done a bed
and breakfast and were under the
impression that this was something
for older couples so we were a
little leery but gave it a shot
anyway and were very pleasantly
surprised!!! For starters this is a
great place for couples in their
late twenties and thirties, My
Fiance and I were the oldest couple
there and we are in our late
twenties! Also, don't hesitate to
check out the local attractions,
they completely add to the whole
experience. Our favorites were the
Brotherhood
winery (recommended by Merle) and
dining at the Canterbury
Brook Inn!
Bette and Merle (the
Innkeepers)
are exuding warm Midwest hospitality
and charm; five minutes in
conversation with them and you feel
like they have been in your family
for years!
Look out Manhattan because Merle can
give your Chefs a run for their
money! The food is absolutely
outstanding, creative and just very
impressive! One would tend to think
how creative can you be with
breakfast well, let me tell you,
my Fiance
being a former Chef,
had his socks blown off!
A couple days here with the warm
hospitality, beauty of the Hudson
Valley and charm of the local
attractions,
your batteries will be recharged,
spirits revitalized and ready to
take on the world...or plan a
wedding!"

"We
ended our night by going to the Cromwell Manor Inn. This was by
far my favorite part of our trip, and I plan on coming back very soon.
Not only are the grounds of this inn warm and inviting, the owners Jack
and Cynthia are as well. They do not treat you as "everyday hotel
guests," but as friends staying with them for a short time. Any
one of the rooms in this wonderful hidden treasure would be a treat to
stay in. Every room is decorated with an eye for detail from the
furniture to the pictures on the wall to some of the antique pieces
decorating the shelves. Every bed looks to be fit for a prince or
a princess, and boy, do you feel like one when you stay here! We
woke up to the smells of breakfast being cooked. Cynthia was nice
enough to find out that we were leaving early for our tour and cooked
breakfast especially for us. The fresh fruit and French Toast was
amazing. I think I found my new "runaway spot." After a
night at the Cromwell Inn, I felt renewed. If you ever can't find
me...Call the Cromwell Inn!"...Christine Coviello...
